During your stay at the Casa del Mar you will notice that our team is like a big family waiting to welcome you as a guest.
Most of the staff are from the village of Jambiani and we are happy we can provide employment to and have a very good relation with the local community. Almost all of our staff have been working with us since we opened in 2005 and have therefore played an important part in making the Casa what it is today.
The two brothers Salim and Khaled together with their wifes Madiha and Aisha have opened the hotel in June of 2005 and are now the management team. Salim and Khaled have studied in Germany and fluently speak English, German, Arabic and Swahili. Khaled is an architect and has designed and built the hotel and all of its furniture.
		William is our assistant manager and the first person to contact for every inquiry on site.
Wilimina, our waitress always has a genuine and warm-hearted smile.
		Yahaya, Sidiki, Makame, Joseph and Jecha are cooking for you at lunch time...
...and the whole kitchen team is complete at dinner time with the presence of Shaban, an experienced chef.

Often apparently simple things are difficult to find in a developing country such as Zanzibar. Ali has a wide array of contacts on the whole island and can provide us with almost everything at any time.
		Mariam, Hanuna and Shamsa are our house keepers and are also in charge of the laundry service.
Keeping it green: Sina is our gardener. It is is merit that our hotel has become a green oasis within the short time frame of less than two years!
		Haji is our driver He is also an expert in thatching roofs and helped us a lot at the construction of our hotel.
Although Jambiani is a safe place, it might be good for you to know that Haje and Kheri will be around looking for your safety.
